Message From the Dealer, here in California, at $75/hour, the whole job, parts and labor, timing belt, water pump, cam seals, etc ~$750. Don't recall if that includes tensioner or not.

The prices you quoted for parts sound okay. You can get parts from Courtesy at 25% off. Which is where most people who Do-It-Themselves buy parts.

Sounds like your shop is charging for too many hours. Call a few other dealers/places for a quote. Even if the one by you is the only dealer, call another to get the hour estimate.
